Configure

Windows XP Start Button

On your windows desktop, select the 'start' menu

Windows XP Control Panel

Then select 'Control pannel'

Windows XP Firewall menu

Finally select the firewall menu option.

Add courseplanner to the Firewall
Add Flight Simulator to the Firewall


This will allow courseplanner to connect on the network and Flight simulator to accept connections.

Running Flight Simulator for the First time

The first time you run Flight simulator after installing Courseplanner you should receive 3 distinct warnings. You might not receive some or all the warnings, this is perfectly acceptable.

The first warning is regarding the publisher been unknown to your system.

Flight Simulator Trusted Add-on

The next message is simply to ask you if you want the Add-on to be loaded automatically or if you want to be asked every time.

Windows XP firewall on Flight Simulator[1]

The final message is to inform you that flight simulator will now be accepting connections from the network. You need to allow this connection as Courseplanner will connect.

Note: Do not chose the option Ask Me later, this option effectively block all network connections until you restart Flight simulator and Courseplanner.
