Flight plan Type
- IFR[1]: Define an IFR flight plan, (all weather).
- VFR[2]: Define an VFR flight plan, (very good weather, all-round visibility).
- Distance between Nav: By default courseplanner will try and find Navigation aids that are within their transmission range, but you can choose to set a maximum range between Navaids. Courspelanner will look for another en-route navaid even if the previous one was still within range.
- Strict Nav to Nav Ranges: If this option is selected the fligh plan will not be created if a navaid cannot be found within range, for example if trying to cross the Atlantic on VOR to VOR only.
Route Type
- Direct - GPS: No other points will be added, you will fly directly to the destination airport from the departure airport.
- VOR to VOR: Courseplanner will select a route that allows you to remain in contact from VORs to VORs
- ... and NDB: If you want Courseplanner to select NDB as well to add to your plan. The plan will remain from VOR to VOR, but the NDBs will be available, (and set automatically), during your flight.
