January? 2009

  • Import/Export the user aircraft (done 03/02/2009).
  • Finish flight following. (done 24/03/2009).
    • 'Pause at this waypoint' option (done 22/01/2009).
  • Print/print Preview any airport information.
  • Have the documentation 80% complete.
    • Add tutorial.
      • creating a flight plan.
      • briefly explaining what all the tabs do.
      • Using the map, (mouse && shortcuts).
      • Loading flight plans.
  • Edit/Delete user waypoints (done 24/03/2009).
  • First official release (done 15/03/2009).

February/March? 2009

  • Log to file, (For standalone, server and client Courseplanner) (done 02/03/2009).
  • Click on any Nav/Airport/GPS and 'Fly to' without having to create a flight plan (done 02/03/2009).
  • Load the FS9 aircraft (done 06/03/2009).
  • Get the networked version of the dll to ensure that both Courseplanner and Flight simulator are running on the same lib(s).
  • Set the color of certain items, (navaids, airports etc...). (done 06/03/2009).

April? 2009

  • Create an update of the airport/navaid files only.
  • Add terrain avoidance, (add 500 feet above terrain if not currently climbing?).
  • Import/Export fs9 flight plans. (done 12/03/2009).
  • Add some form of log/black box.
  • Add an icon/image on the map and flight plan details to show when pausing at a particular plan (done 27/03/2009).
  • Add a function to show/hide AI aircraft (done 23/03/2009).
  • Add a dialog box with more info on airport.
  • Set a default aircraft [1] (done 31/03/2009).
  • Add a shift+mouse to get distance between 2 points [2] (done 20/04/2009).
  • Add a short-cut key to engage/disengage the flight following [3] (done 27/03/2009).
  • Add heading to, distance to, currently highlighted navaid from aircraft [4].
  • Change the target altitude for the flight plan waypoints (done 03/04/2009).

May 2009

  • Complete SID/STAR.
  • Map outline, (only first step of fixing the map!). (done 17/04/2009).
  • AI vs Multiplayer color.
  • Edit aircraft values.
  • Differentiate AI aircraft vs Player aircraft, (and select to have them hidden by default).
  • Add 'smooth' turn option to straight-final landing.
  • Second official release. (postponed to July).
  • Drag and drop waypoints into flightplan [5].
  • Move flight plan details to the top of waypoint view tab.
    • Create a tab in the flight plan tab with 1) Flightplan 2) Flight details.
  • Add a waypoint directly from the 'Find' dialog box [6].

July 2009

  • Wheel mouse should move the list up/down without changing the selected waypoint [7].
  • Second official release.

Untargeted items

  • Improve the map! (Ongoing).
  • Get monthly updates provided by Navigraph, (we are having problem contacting the developers of that site so if you can get hold of them please contact us directly)
  • Re-Add support for FS2004, (dependent on how stable the FSX version is) (done 02/03/2009).
  • Import directly from the FSX db (done 03/06/2009).
  • Support for X-Plane, (version +8).
  • Import Flight plans from FSNav.
  • Add an option to change the font weigh of certain items [8].
  • Add a fly to option anywhere in the map [9].
  • Allow flight plans with multiple departure/destination airports [10].

  • Start the the documentation on the modules.
  • Release some Unmanaged samples.
  • Release some Lib/DLL samples.
  • Release some .NET/Managed samples.
