In Courseplanner you can change the way your cursor[1] interacts with the map. It can either be used as a tool to zoom into a certain area of the map or to move around the map.

In some cases it can be used to add a GPS point or insert/replace a waypoint in a flight plan.

Track Map position

When this cursor is selected you can use the cursor to grab the map and move it around. Simply press 'and hold the left mouse button down[1] and move the mouse around. This will reposition the map to whatever location you choose.

When editing a flight plan, you can either grab one of the waypoint and move to another point or you can grab any lines between two waypoints and select another waypoint to be inserted between the two. In either cases you must also right click and hold the point.

Track Map zoom

When this cursor is selected you can use the cursor to either zoom into the map, select an airport/navaid or insert a GPS point.

Zoom into the map

To zoom into the map, simply press 'and hold the left mouse button down[1] in the top left corner of the area you want to zoom into. Then move to the opposite corner of the area you would like to zoom to.

Insert a GPS point

Main article: Create GPS waypoint.

You can simply left-click[1] on any area of the map to add a user defined GPS point.

Selecting the cursor

There are 3 ways of selecting a the cursor.

  • Using the menu, (Map -> Track Map ...).
  • Using the toolbar.
  • Right clicking[2] on any area of the map will switch between the two modes.
